MVIC’s First National Conference on Sustainable Business & IT

MVIC National Conference 2025

Ideas, innovation, and collaboration took center stage on August 15, 2025, as scholars, students, and industry experts gathered at MVIC Hall for the 1st MVIC National Conference on “Innovative Business Practices for Sustainable Development in Management and Information Technology.” The event brought together people passionate about shaping Nepal’s future by bridging modern IT solutions with smart management practices personalized to the country’s unique challenges.

A Platform for Change

Organized by MVIC, the conference focused on innovative business practices for sustainable development in management and IT. The goal was clear: to bridge modern IT solutions with smart management practices while keeping Nepal’s unique challenges in mind. 

From Research to Real-World Relevance

The event explored pressing Nepal-centric issues, including healthcare worker migration, economic development, modernizing customs, sustainable tourism, and student entrepreneurship. Presentations also explored emerging themes, including women’s leadership, AI in education, and strategic management in banking, providing policymakers and organizations with a roadmap for growth.

With contributions from 15 researchers and experts, the conference delivered a rich mix of academic excellence and practical, actionable strategies.

Morning Session Highlights

The day began with registration and tea/coffee (8:30–10:00 AM) at MVIC Hall, giving participants a chance to collect conference kits and network before the sessions started.

The inaugural session at 10:00 AM, hosted by MCs Ankansha and Shiwani, welcomed Dr. Padam Dongol (Conference Chair), Ms. Reetal Rana (Chief Guest), Ms. Surina Gurung (Special Guest), and MVIC CEO Mr. Pawan Pokhari. Traditional rituals like the Khada offering, lamp lighting, and national anthem marked a formal yet warm start.

Keynote speeches featured Dr. Mahesh Maharjan on Current IT Trends and Dr. Hari Raj Rajuare on Current Management Trends, inspiring attendees to think innovatively about bridging IT and management for sustainable development.

The morning paper presentations (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM), chaired by Dr. Maharjan and Dr. Rajuare, showcased five papers:

The session encouraged questions and discussions, connecting research insights with practical solutions for Nepal’s socio-economic challenges.

Afternoon Session Highlights

The afternoon session (1:00–2:40 PM), chaired by Dr. Mahesh Maharjan and Dr. Hari Raj Rajuare, featured ten paper presentations covering leadership, AI, entrepreneurship, banking, and tourism in Nepal:

The session was lively, with engaging discussions and questions from attendees connecting research to real-world applications.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony (2:40–3:15 PM) celebrated the presenters and organizers with certificates and tokens of appreciation.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Padam Dongol emphasized the value of collaboration and knowledge-sharing as key drivers for Nepal’s sustainable future.

The event concluded with a group photo capturing the Chief Guest, Special Guest, CEO, organizing team, and presenters — a visual reminder of a day dedicated to learning, connection, and progress.
